BIOGRAPHY

Megan Lindsey is a neurodivergent artist in Pittsburgh, PA whose writings and visual work reflect the deep and often unchartable feelings of mothering in crisis.  Her pieces are crafted from collections of household garbage, children’s artwork, and natural materials.  She uses organic, grotesque shapes to manifest the paradoxical – and often maniacal – joy effusing from the bonds that loving families manage to form in times of turmoil and spiritual uncertainty.  Autism, feminism, suffering, and incarnational mysticism are emerging themes in her work. In a past life Megan founded the iconic Franktuary hot dog restaurant (2005-2022) and played in indie rock band Good Night, States for a decade. She currently lives in Garfield with her family and seven chickens.
